The Granitgard physical termite barrier system offers
affordable, long-lasting, non-toxic protection against
the devastation of subterranean termites. Installation
by specially trained tradespeople is a quick and easy
process.
Granitgard stone barriers were first used in 1990. Since
that time, in excess of 150,000 new buildings have been
safely treated by the hundreds of Granitgard installers
who service most cities and regional centres. Granitgard
barriers are also widely used for protection of
extensions.
Today the Granitgard system includes graded stone, strip
shielding and Blockaid. This unique combination of
environmentally friendly products can be applied in
almost all building situations to provide simple and
effective termite protection. All Granitgard treatments
are covered by the same exceptional warranty package.
Granitgard barriers give “whole-of-home” termite
protection which extends beyond structural components to
include all timber in the building, such as kitchen and
bathroom joinery, as well as electrical wiring and
plaster.
This complete protection is achieved without exposure to
pesticides. The costs, health risks and inconvenience of
retreatments, which are essential for chemical barriers,
are avoided with Granitgard. |

Developed with the CSIRO and tested for many years
throughout Australia the principles of Granitgard graded
stone physical termite barriers have been well
proven.
The specially graded and shaped
Granitgard stone particles are used in combination
with durable, termite resistant strip shielding
materials
to provide long-life, non-toxic termite barriers.
These
barriers protect buildings by blocking concealed
termite access and forcing termites that are trying to
enter the building out into the open where they are
visible and can be eradicated. |
